This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the government of Kamchatskiy Krai, the Minister of fisheries Vladimir Galitsin.

"This year, according to the predictions of science, the region plans to produce more than 186 thousand tonnes of Pacific salmon. The main Putin on Kamchatka in odd-numbered years is held on the East coast of the Peninsula, where the main fishing object is salmon. The first from 1 June will begin fishing Ust-Kamchatka, Aleutian and Olyutorskiy areas. In Western Kamchatka the main fishing opens in mid-July", — said Vladimir Galitsin on the meeting of the regional Commission on regulation of extraction of anadromous (going to spawn from the seas to the river – ed.) species of fish in the Kamchatka region.
