The government of the Bryansk region by 2020 plans by 50%, to 3 million tonnes, increase the yield of grain due to the introduction of new technologies. This was announced on Thursday at the Cabinet meeting, the Governor Alexander Bogomazov.

"Plans to, by 2020, 3 million tons of grain. This year the grain harvest in the Bryansk region will be about 2 million tons, and such a harvest Bryansk oblast never have. Yield growth plan to achieve not only due to the increase in acreage, but the introduction of intensive, new technologies," he said, without specifying what technologies are involved.

According to him, currently grain harvest in the region reaches more than 100 quintals per hectare, while a few years ago was considered a good harvest 40 quintals per hectare.
