In farms of all categories on October 1, milled 12.9 million tons of grain in the original recorded weight, which is 18% more than the previous year at the same date. This is the highest figure in the history of the area.

Yield of grain crops in farms of all categories amounted to 40.6 centners per hectare and by 12.8% over the corresponding period of 2016.

Gross harvest of sunflower seeds on October 1, 2017 (removed on
57,5 % of area) increased to the same date a year earlier at 90.8% to 821,9 thousand tons, while yield was formed below last year's level by 9.6%, amounting to 20.6 kg/ha.

However 423,8 thousand tons of potatoes and collected 656,4 thousand tons of vegetables, harvesting of these crops is in full swing. Compared to the same period in 2016, the gross harvest increased respectively by 5.7% and 19.7%, yield increased by 8.6% to of 139.6 kg/ha and 21.2% to 229,1 kg/ha.
