In the spring of 2017 700 tons of ammonium nitrate and 300 tons of azofoski received 250 farms of Smolensk region. Spring sowing in the region is conducted on the area of 169 thousand ha, which exceeded the previous year by 8%. Increased acreage under grain and combime crops, flax, vegetables. Currently in Smolensk oblast completed harvesting. The yield of grain and leguminous crops is 25.3 C/ha (in 2016 20,9 kg/ha). Smolensk farmers, despite the adverse weather conditions this year, has already collected 250 thousand tons of grain, higher than last year.

PJSC "Dorogobuzh" in addition to the traditional spring assistance regional agriculture this year for the first time allocated mineral fertilizers for winter crops. 250 tons of azofoski distributed among the 98 households of the 23 municipalities of the Smolensk region. On the recommendation of the regional Department of agriculture, priority was given to enterprises, sowing winter rape. The cultivation of this highly profitable and perspective of culture spent more than 30% of the total amount of allocated complex fertilizers. The total area of winter crops in the Smolensk region in 2017 will account for 46 thousand hectares. "The region has committed itself to increasing the share of winter crops in the sown area. Weather permitting, there will be more sown than last year", - said the Chairman of the Committee on agriculture of the Smolensk regional Duma Alexey Pavlov.

Cooperation with JSC "Dorogobuzh" was praised by the Governor of the Smolensk region Alexei Ostrovsky: "We are grateful to the JSC "Dorogobuzh", a management holding company for what they are going to meet the administration of the region, respond to my personal requests and release significant quantities of fertilizers, which we pass on to farmers. And, do it on a Pro Bono basis. Farms, which sow more, which have more return from the point of view of productivity, receive a greater volume of fertilizers. In the current year, this form of support received 250 farms – 100 more than the year before. We have achieved growth due to the fact that the expanded criteria for receiving this aid is allocated more fertilizer to those involved in the most popular area for our directions, for example, flax, and canola.

The allocation of this aid is very important for Smolensk farmers – in recent years we have seen a positive trend in the increase in the average yield of agricultural crops. I am confident that our longstanding cooperation with JSC "Dorogobuzh" will contribute to increasing agricultural production in the region."
