Sectoral two-day forum became a platform for reflection of current situation on the pork market. The saturation of the domestic market increases competition and inevitably leads to the need to improve production efficiency. And this includes the introduction of modern technologies, the growth of competence management, maintaining high quality standards and full veterinary safety. All of these issues at the conference became key.

The group of companies "Agropromkomplektatsiya" were presented by the Director of the Department of pig breeding and fodder production Yury Dyachenko and head of PEER farms Lyudmila Sitnikova.

"Interaction with the National Union of pig producers allows us to respond quickly to the situation in the industry, - summed up the head of the office for planning and economic agricultural enterprises LLC "APK-the Centre" Lyudmila Sitnikova. – Our long-standing cooperation has a positive impact on managerial decision making in "Agropromkomplektatsiya" and defines the vector of development of our Group of companies.

The event was attended by heads and specialists of agricultural enterprises of pig-breeding, meat processing and feed enterprises, representatives of regional agricultural departments, foreign and domestic companies producing equipment for pig-breeding and meat processing enterprises, as well as other distinguished guests and experts.

"The continued intensive growth of production volumes of pork production, as expected, led to saturation of internal market with domestic products, whose share in 2016, in the consumption volume amounted to 92%, - said the Chairman of the National swine Union Yuri Kovalev. - This year has kept the momentum of growth, and this naturally led the industry to new realities that require a transition from quantitative growth to quality changes. The increase in the volume of industrial pig-breeding is accompanied by further structuring of the sector - deepening cutting, improvement of logistics, build relationships with meat processing companies and retail chains, which requires pig producers improve the quality of their products."

For reference:
Last year, the growth of pork production amounted to 314 thousand tons or 9.4%. This year, pork exports will increase by 40-45% relative to 2016, up to 70-75 thousand tons next year, the growth rate of external sales will slow down, but, nevertheless, add 15-20% to 80-85 thousand tons the Largest importer of Russian pork products is Hong Kong (80%).
