"Over the past 10 years our gross regional product has undergone certain changes. We were a region, which is more focused on industry, especially in the military-industrial complex. Now almost 1.5 times — from 10 to 14% — increased share of agriculture, — said the Agency interlocutor. — The development is in both spheres, in the agricultural sector is rapid. Therefore, we further emphasis on increasing agricultural production and value added due to the increase of depth and volumes processing".

According to the Governor, the overall development strategy of the region up to 2035 will be based on the implementation of the five key areas.

"We plan to implement the strategy through five main areas. The Penza region needs to develop as a territory of advanced economic growth; the region attractive for business development; territory comfortable living; education, science, culture and tourism, and health and sports development," said Belozertsev.

"The key to economic growth, positive demographic dynamics. Therefore, the strategy to 2035, we focus not only on the economy and primarily on the person", — said the head of the region.
