Tax revenues from the enterprises of a fishing complex of the Kamchatka Peninsula at the end of last year increased by 10%. This was announced on Tuesday, the Governor of the region Vladimir Ilyukhin, in his annual report on the activities of the regional government.

"The volume of tax revenues from the sector increased compared to the previous year by 10% and in 2017 amounted to 6.5 billion rubles," - he said.

According to the Governor, such a result was achieved, thanks to the conditions created for attracting to Kamchatka the major players in the market. So, in 2017, here re-registered one of the largest organizations of the far East, with total quotas of about 73 thousand tons.

Besides Ilyukhin, the Kamchatka Peninsula for the tenth consecutive year, maintains a leading position on volumes of catch of aquatic bioresources not only for the Far East, but also in the whole country. "In 2017, we again showed a record amount of fish caught - more than 120 thousand tons, which is 13% more than in 2016," - said the Governor. In particular, salmon-2017 was one of the best in the last century: the fishermen produced 240 thousand tons. First place Kamchatka is in the extraction of Pollock, the catch of which for the year amounted to 535 thousand tonnes.

In this regard, Ilyukhin recalled held in the region work to attract investment in the fishing industry. Thus, the volume of investments in renewal of production capacities of only ten projects included in the regional programme have increased three times and amounted to 4.6 billion rubles.

The region also continues to implement projects for the construction of processing plants, aquaculture development and modernization of production totaling more than 6 billion rubles. "In total, since 2008, our company invested in the development and modernization of production facilities more than 25 billion rubles," - said the Governor.
