"Uritsky Kizlyar meat-packing plant" in Dagestan until the end of the year will build a livestock complex in the area of 15 hectares, said on Monday TASS in the Ministry of agriculture and food of the Republic.

"Uritsky Kizlyar meat-packing plant has completed the construction of one of the buildings of cattle-breeding complex, designed for 200 milking cows. In the area of 15 hectares up to the end of the year will be placed two breeding grounds for the detention of cattle", - said the Agency interlocutor.

Investment in project will amount to approximately 446 million rubles, the implementation of the investment project is carried out in the framework of food security and development of import substitution in the agricultural sector.

In 2017, the plant started to export meat to Iran, the first batch volume of about 800 carcasses of mutton were sent from Kizlyar in late October. Now the company sells in a week more than 20 tons of lamb to Iran.

 

As previously reported, in 2018 the meat processing plant will increase the supply of lamb to Iran twice. To increase supply, and production is planned to bring in meat from other regions, particularly from the Stavropol territory and Kalmykia.

In the framework of the implementation of the national priority project "Establishment of agro-industrial complex on processing of livestock products in the Republic of Dagestan" the company launched the slaughterhouse by the standards of "Halal" (allowed for Muslims food), approved by the muftiat of the Republic.
