These and other indicators of socio-economic development of the region in the first quarter of 2018 analyzed at the weekly meeting with the head of administration of the Tambov region Alexander Nikitin. As it turned out, the main growth in agriculture due to an increase in the production of all kinds of meat (livestock and poultry). Just in the first quarter was produced 139,1 thousand tons of meat for slaughter in live weight, which is 42.1% more than in the same period of 2017.

"In the Tambov region in the I quarter of this year recorded growth in almost all sectors of the economy. These are very good results. We should value it and apply all possible resources to maintain this momentum throughout the year", — quotes the press-service of the word Nikitin.

High performance is also achieved in the construction industry in the region. Thus, from January to March 2018 commissioned 80,7 thousand square meters of housing, which is 3.7% more than in the first quarter of last year, gas networks — 44.6 kilometers with an increase of 7.3 times. Works by the form activity "construction" made almost 3 billion rubles, which is 26.9% more than in the same period last year.

The press service added that the industrial production index in the region at the end of the first quarter of this year amounted to 124,5%.
