The first million tons of grain produced by farms in the Voronezh region on 30 July, reported IA REGNUM in management on interaction with mass media and administrative work of the government of the Voronezh region.

All threshed grain and leguminous crops 397,5 thousand hectares or 27.3% of total harvesting area (1456,6 thousand hectares), with a yield of 32.8 t/ha.

Grain harvesting in the region started in the first decade of July, for the period from July 15 to 24, work was suspended due to incessant rains. Farmers now are harvesting at an accelerated pace.

In addition, covered 79,5 thousand tons of seeds of winter crops, or 48% of the demand (167,0 thousand tons). On the qualities tested 32% filled seed, 99% of the tested seeds are certified. Harvested of $ 235.2 thousand tons of hay and 417 thousand tons of haylage, which is 59% and 81% of the needs.

As reported IA REGNUM, in 2017, the harvest of grain in the Voronezh region was a record and amounted to 5.7 million tons. This year's crop is projected at 4 million tons of grain.
