The meeting discussed the prospects of expanding the range of BILLA the products of small regional Russian farms. This solution allows buyers to purchase quality farm products close to home. The producers will get the opportunity to sell their own products in one of the largest Federal retail networks.

"Following the meeting we were once again convinced of the need for dialogue between small suppliers and retailers. Some of the participants today heard for the first time that Federal networks are open to cooperation and are ready to meet farmers in order to offer customers quality products. Despite the fact that questions network require further discussion, this meeting can be considered the first step towards a cooperation of independent suppliers and large business", – said Alexander Fomichev.

BILLA initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response from farmers. "In my opinion, this is the first time in the history of Russian retail, when a Federal network of talking with small suppliers from a position of partnership in the "question and answer". It's great that the networks have an interest in local suppliers.
