Preliminary data Federal customs service of Russia ( 22 January 2016) showed that current agricultural 2015/16 MG 243,7 exported 21 thousand tons of grain, including wheat – 15 879,9 kt (-9,7% compared to the same period last year), barley – 3 304,3 thousand tons (+0.2% compared to the same period last year), maize – 1 861,3 thousand tonnes (+63.7% as against the same period last year). The pace of grain exports continue to be lower than last year, the backlog for the current week declined to 4.9%.
According to the FCS of Russia from 1 to 22 January 2015 429,9 exported thousand tons of grain (compared to 1 378,2 thousand tons for the same period last year), including wheat – 273,1 thousand tons (vs. 1 228,5 thousand tons for the same period last year), barley – 69,6 thousand tons (compared to 34.1 thousand tons) and corn – 79,4 thousand tons (compared to 86.7 thousand tonnes). The overall rate of grain exports continue to lag behind last year.
In turn, the structure of exports in January 2015 (from 1 January to 22) is different from the export of the same period of 2015. Wheat in the structure is 63,5% (vs. 89.1% in 2015), maize ranks second in terms of volume, accounting for 18.5 percent (versus 6.3% in 2015). Barley exports amounted to 16.2% compared to 2.5% last year.
Sunflower oil exports for the period from 1 to 22 January 2016 amounted to 41.5 thousand tons (compared to 75.2 thousand tons for the same period of the previous year) and exceeded the level of November 2015. Soybean oil exports amounted to 22.6 thousand tons (compared to 45.7 thousand tons following the results for the same period last year). Export of rapeseed oil from 1 to 22 January amounted to 6.6 thousand tons, 7.3 thousand tons less than the same period last year.
The export of oils for the period 1 September 2015 to 22 January 2016 amounted 545,0 thousand tons 21.8% less compared with the same period last season. Export of sunflower oil amounted to $ 274.3 thousand tonnes, which was 73,9 thousand tons less than for the same period in 2014/15. Soybean oil exports for 2015/16 amounted to MG 162,0 million tonnes, up by 6.7 thousand tons less than the exports in 2014/15 my, and exports of rapeseed oil amounted to 108.7 thousand tons in 2015/16 MG against 180,1 t in 2014/15 my.
