On the eve of the new season the market of rapeseed predictable shows activity. So, in April of the current year Ukraine exported 44.5 thousand tonnes of rapeseed, down from a record high this month of the 2011/12 season, only 10.8 thousand tons. In comparison with March of current year the exports increased by 36 thousand tonnes, with April last year by 33.2 thousand tons.

Since the beginning of the 2015/16 season (July-April) Ukraine supplied to foreign markets 1416,5 thousand tons of rapeseed, compared with 1905,6 thousand tons in the previous season 2014/15. In the structure of export of Ukrainian rapeseed, significant changes have occurred. Traditionally, the bulk of deliveries sent to EU countries (71,8% of total exports). Also among the leaders kept Pakistan (9.6 per cent), UAE (4.1%) and Bangladesh (3.2%), and Israel (2.1 percent).

Analysis of exports of rapeseed and its products shows a natural decrease in the supply of foreign markets the culture in favor of increasing products of its processing - rapeseed meal, and rapeseed oil, while their performance in the current 2015/16 season reached a record level. For the period from July to April 2016 exported 166,5 thousand tons of rapeseed meal and 152,2 thousand tons of rapeseed oil. Given the expanding production capacity for the processing of rapeseed, with declining demand in domestic consumption, the obvious is the fact that existing today, the trend in the near future will become even more pronounced. In the geography of consumption, radical changes are not expected because the demand of the main importers of Ukrainian rapeseed oil Italy, and China remains at a high level.
