Within planting season 2016, manufacturers of Primorye increased acreage of soybeans to 431,2 thousand hectares, which exceeds the same indicator in 2015 by 4.2%. It is reported by the Director of the regional Department of agriculture and food of Primorsky Krai Denis Bochkarev.

"This year was sown 241 thousand hectares of soybean - 108% to the level of 2015. Corn (sown) is almost 42 thousand hectares - an increase of 18%. Rice was planted more than 21 thousand hectares", — transfer words of D. Bochkarev, the press service of the regional administration.

According to Vice-Governor Sergei Sidorenko, five years ago, in Primorye processed only about 45% of free arable land, today this figure reached 64%.
