According to Rosstat, in the past month, the volume of grain production in Russia decreased to 94 thousand tonnes or 7% compared to July of 2015, according to the News Agency Grain Online.

The rates of production of almost all types of cereals are lower than last year. The volume of production of wheat decreased by 4% to 12 thousand tonnes, rice - less than 1% to 29 thousand tons, oats - 31% to 4 thousand tonnes, buckwheat - by 26% to 16 thousand tons, barley grains - 23% up to 4 tons, pearl barley by 7% up to 5 thousand tonnes of corn - 16% up to 5 thousand tons. The exception was millet, which grew by 20% to 6 thousand tons.
