While wheat production is projected at 70 million tons. The export will be sent to 39.8 million tons of grain, according to the IGC.

The organization expects world production of all types of grain (wheat and coarse grains) in the 2016/17 year will reach a historic high, and given the high level of stocks at the beginning of the year, total supply for the first time will exceed 2.5 billion tonnes.

"Although the wheat harvest is likely to reach a new peak in the previous month, growing concern about the level of supply of milling varieties. Heavy rains dramatically increased the average yield of wheat in many regions, however, the quality of the grain deteriorated slightly. Corn production is also expected to reach the highest level in history, with more than half of the interannual increase is attributable to a record harvest in the USA", — stated in the review.
