"Sown area in 2016 amounted to 431 thousand hectares, or 104% by 2015 (soy - 241 thousand hectares or 110% by 2015, corn - 42 thousand hectares, or 108%, rice - 21 thousand hectares, or 108%). Agricultural producers of the region have completed harvesting early grain crops on an area of 36 thousand hectares (90% from the plan), the gross harvest amounted to 60 thousand tons (91%) to the level of 2015. The rest of the area fell under flooding and unsuitable for harvest. According to the forecast of the gross grain harvest, subject to death, will amount to 308 thousand tons (103% to the level of 2015", — noted in administration.


Despite the fact that farmers have lost part of the harvest due to the floods, in 2017 it is planned to increase sown area by 5% at the expense of crops such as soybeans and corn. According to preliminary estimates, due to the flood lost at least 21 thousand tons of soybeans, 5 thousand tons of corn, 19 thousand tons of potatoes, 12 tons of vegetables, noted in the administration.

Due to the Typhoon in the province flooded more than 28.5 thousand hectares of crops. The region has a special municipal Commission for analysis of the damage to farmland. Seaside farmers promised support from the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation in the form of damages.
