Compared to the previous forecast, the decline was 3.7% to 5.16 t/ha (5,32 t/ha on average over the last five years).

The downward adjustment was due to the revision of the corn yield in the EU to the downside - to 6.84 t/ha (-5,4% compared with the previous forecast of 1.3% compared to the average 5-year level). The negative impact on productivity has had hot and dry weather conditions in major producing countries - France, Romania, Germany, Italy and Bulgaria.

In addition, the Agency once again downgraded its assessment of yields of soft wheat and barley: assessing the yield of soft wheat was reduced to 5.63 t/ha (5,86 t/ha the previous forecast).

Evaluation of yields of barley is still above average 5-year values and is 4,77 t/ha (of 4.88 t/ha of the previous forecast; 4,72 t/ha on average over the last 5 years).
