So, buckwheat collected 187 thousand tons with an area of 146 thousand hectares (98%), millet – 185 thousand tons with 101 thousand hectares (97%). Corn farmers gathered 12.5 million tons from the area of 2.1 million ha (51% of the forecast). Sunflower threshed on an area of 5.2 million ha (87%) in the amount of 11.3 million tons. Soy gathered 3.2 million tonnes from 1.5 million ha (81%). In addition, sugar beet is harvested on the area of 179 hectares, or 61% of the forecast, in the amount of 8.4 million tons.

According to the report, the average grain yield was 42.3 kg/ha.

According to forecasts of Ministry of agrarian policy, the gross yield of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine this year will amount to 63 million tons. According to estimates of the USDA, the harvest in Ukraine in the period of 2016-2017 marketing year (July 2016-June 2017) will amount to 64.1 million tons.
