According to preliminary information of the Ministry of agriculture of the Tula region, at the end of October due to heavy continuous rains on the territory of municipal district 21 of the 23 introduced a state of emergency situation of natural character.

The decision of the government of the region noted that the state of emergency imposed in connection with destruction of crops and loss of crops, and also in connection with the forecast of adverse meteorological phenomena.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, at the end of 2016 Russia plans to collect 116 million tonnes of grain in net weight.

According to the Ministry, last year in the Tula region were collected 1,548 million tonnes of grain. "The share of Tula region contributes 1.5% of the total gross yield of grain and leguminous crops, as of November 2, 2016, in Tula region removed 88% of the area, collected 1,584 million tonnes of grain, which is 36 thousand tons more than at the end of 2015", – said in the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.
