In 2016, the Voronezh region is expected to record levels in crop production. At the end of harvest 94% of area gross harvest of grain amounts to 4,578 million tonnes at 4,168 million tonnes for the full year 2015, told reporters in charge of agriculture, Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Logvinov.

For the nine months, the region exported more than 400 thousand tons of grain, including 205,1 thousand tons of maize and 192 thousand tonnes of wheat.

The main destinations for exports were Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Lithuania, Latvia and other European countries.

Sugar beet is dug out of 5.7 million t (harvested 96% of the area) with 4.1 million tonnes in 2015, the yield was a record 477 kg/ha more than 100 kg/ha more than the year before.

Sunflower harvested on 364 hectares (90%), gross yield is 880 thousand tons.
