In the future Russia may become a leading wheat supplier in Venezuela in the presence of her guarantees and payment, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin at the meeting of Russian-Venezuelan high-level Commission.

According to him, today has been initialed and will be signed in January a commercial contract. Part of the contract is the phytosanitary control of products from Russia. In this case the Venezuelan side takes into account the high environmental friendliness of Russian supplies.

The second component of the contract, according to Rogozin, will be delivered to Venezuela from January from 30 to 50 thousand tons of grain of wheat, which is still Venezuela has received from Canada and the USA.

"In the future, if we get the appropriate guarantees and payment from Venezuela, they are interested in it, we can become the leading wheat supplier in Venezuela. But the agricultural project is not over, he has a great future that this country has a unique arable land, Russia could provide assistance to Venezuela in the analysis of soils, supply of agricultural equipment for collecting and processing crop", — said D. Rogozin.

He noted that "in fact, Venezuela has the prospect of becoming an importer exporter of agricultural products both animal and vegetable plan for Latin America".

According to him, Venezuela is extremely interested in this, and it's the latest trend, which previously it did not.
