The system of charging heavy "Plato" justified, however, need to perform her work, including from the point of view of collection and efficiency of spending, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

"System "Plato" started working a little over a year, it is for our country a new. As you know, it caused a wide resonance in the society. For this system last year was a trial period. There were many doubts, however the system itself is justified", — said Medvedev at meeting on development of road infrastructure in Russia.

"The money collected under the "Plato", go to the construction of new and rehabilitation of existing roads. You need to analyze how the system works, including from the point of view of collection of funds, transferring them to the regional road funds, the efficiency of spending and prospects", — he added.

The "Plato" was commissioned on 15 November 2015. The money goes to the road Fund in the form of compensation for the destruction of the tracks by trucks weighing more than 12 tons.
