"We signed six contracts, each of which is 200 thousand tons. We are talking about local companies which will purchase Russian wheat," — said the Reuters source, who declined to list the names of companies.

The government has allocated 101 million dollars on the part of the agreements, the source said.

The Contracting authority – the General Directorate for trade and grain production in October signed a contract to buy one million tons of wheat from Russia to ensure that controlled by government forces of areas with grain and prevent shortages.

"The new plan does not negate the old deal, we are still trying to process it," said the source.

According to the Agency, the agreement in October was signed with the company "Surnamer" and is not currently implemented. Sources in the government of the Russian Federation and Syria have noted the likelihood that the transaction may not be realized.
