The current forecast has been increased to a record 2.1 billion tons compared with the January estimate of 2.09 billion tons. The increase in the forecast occurred at the expense of Australia, which brought together recognie the grain harvest, as well as the expense of South America, where maize production is expected at a high level.

The forecast of wheat production was unchanged at 752 million tons compared to 737 million tonnes in 2015/16, ending stocks are voiced at a record level of 236 million tons, against 235 million tonnes expected earlier, which is 15 million tons higher than last year's result. For maize the forecast of world gross yield was increased to 1.049 billion tons, consumption – to 1,035 billion tons.
