Increasing palm oil production in Indonesia has allowed the country to increase the export of this product in January of this year to 2.47 million tonnes against 2 million tonnes in the same month last year.

In particular, the shipments of crude palm oil in the reporting month amounted to 764 (439) thousand tons of recycled – 1,71 (1,56) million tons.

In just the first 4 months of the current season Indonesia increased supply of palm oil to foreign markets to 9.51 (9,44) million tons. However, due to the reduction of shipments of Malaysian production of 0.6 million tons per year to 5.36 million tonnes of global palm oil exports for the period decreased by 0.5 million tons.

At the same time, experts predict that in March and September 2017, the volume of global palm oil exports will increase by 2.5 million tons per year, with increased volumes of production and reduce stocks of vegetable oils in a number of importing countries.
