Imports of wheat in the season 2017/18 could rise to 4.5 million tonnes due to the continuing growth in demand for high-quality wheat from exporters of flour and pasta.

The cessation of imports of Russian wheat will lead to exports of wheat and products of its processing from Turkey in the next season will be reduced to 5.0 million tonnes.

Corn imports will increase to 1.5 million tons because production is much to keep up with consumption the second season in a row. The volume of imports of barley will remain equal to 0.2 million tonnes.
