According to analysts of "APK-inform", the domestic consumption of meal in Ukraine is currently at the level of 0.9-1 million tons per year.

According to a report in the September-February 2016/17 MG from Ukraine exported 2.3 mln tonnes of sunflower meal totaling approximately $416 million, of which 1.3 million tonnes was exported to the EU countries (mainly France and Spain).

The main buyers of Ukrainian meal are the EU and Belarus. New markets for Ukrainian meal in this season of steel in India, which is more than 5 times increased imports of Ukrainian sunflower cake and meal, increasing to 6% its share in the total volume of shipments from Ukraine against 1.5% the previous season, and Pakistan (5%) and Saudi Arabia (2.3 percent).
