The trade Ministry of Iraq is negotiating about the conclusion of direct contracts for the import of rice and wheat. Thus, the country intends to replace international tenders, which was not successful due to the new terms of payment and requirements to quality of grain, says IDK.Expert.

The Ministry said the Central Committee on contracts had to sign a contract for the supply of Jasmine rice with the Vietnamese company, but did not specify the agreed volumes.

The statement also said that negotiations about the import of wheat from multiple sources for the program of food rationing.
