One of the farms in the Smolensk district of the Altai territory intends to continue the experiment on the cultivation of unusual for the region crops – high-protein soybeans.

According to the farmer Varazdat Makaryan, the price of wheat today is much lower than the Soi: if the maximum price per tonne of wheat is 12 000 rubles, for soy give twice as much – 25 000 rubles.

Trial soybean fields last year, planted in two climatic zones: in the Smolensk and Mamontov areas. This year, the experiment joined the Soviet farmers, the Trinity, and Zonal areas.
