FAS USDA started to reduce forecasts for the Russian grain
Service agricultural attache USDA (FAS USDA) in Moscow has lowered the forecast of grain production in Russia by 3 million tonnes to 113 million tonnes compared to the official USDA forecast from 09 Jun

The forecasts of production of major crops reduced:

wheat by 1 million tons to 68 million tons;

barley by 0.5 million tons to 16.5 million tons;

corn by 0.5 million tonnes to 15.5 million tonnes;

rye 0.2 million tons to 2.6 million tons;

oats 0.3 million tonnes to 4.5 million tonnes;

rice on 10 thousand tonnes to 0.69 million tons.

USDA attaché at 1 million tonnes to 38 million tonnes increased the forecast of Russian grain exports in the season 2016/17, which is the highest indicator in the history of new Russia.

With regard to exports to the 2017/18 season, are expected here the following indicators:

wheat and 28 million tons (1 million tons less than in the report of 09 June);

barley – 3.3 million tons (down 0.2 million tons);

corn – 5.7 mln tonnes (down 0.3 million tons);

rice – 0,18 million tonnes;

other grains and legumes – 0,86 million tons.
