Tatarstan in 2017 plans to keep the grain harvest at the level of 2016 – 4 million tons, said the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov. "This complex of actions allows us to count on getting more than 4 million tons of grain, 2.5 million tons of sugar beet, 1.5 million tons of potatoes 270 thousand tonnes of oil seeds and 3 million tons of fodder", — said Minnikhanov at the national meeting on the issue of harvesting.

According to Tatarstan President, the farmers of the Republic of high quality and in time carried out main processing of the soil, made about 70 kilograms of active substance per hectare of mineral fertilizers sown the original seeds for 24% of the area, prepared all the necessary equipment. To increase yields, farmers rely on scientific achievements.

However, according to Minnikhanov, the abundance of rain amid a lack of effective positive temperatures this year may limit the growth and development of crops, this will have an impact on the quality of grain.
