The prospects of a crop of rape is particularly high in France and Germany – the main European producers of these oilseeds. France expects to collect 4.7 million tons, which, however, is 1.5% below last year's result. In Germany rapeseed production to grow by 4.6% to 4.78 million tons.

Poland takes 3rd place in EU on volumes of production of rapeseed. This year she's counting on 2.9 million tonnes, or 31% more than was collected last year.

The UK will produce about 1.9-2 million tons of rape against of 1.77 million tons in 2016.
