According to experts of the company, the production of oilseeds in the country will decrease by 2 million tons compared to the previous season. Analysts predict the total gross harvest of oilseeds in the area of 33,65 million tons.

The main criterion was the reduction of the forecast was the significant reduction in acreage of oilseeds. According to analysts, the production of soybeans can be 8.9 (10,5 – informed) million tons, rapeseed – 6,4 (to 7.01) million tons, peanut – 4,0 (4,8) million tons.

The only culture of the crop which, according to experts, will be above last year's value, is cotton and 11.4 (10,75) million tons. But the increase in cotton production can not compensate the overall yield of oilseeds in the country.

Analysts are already suggesting that in the new season, India will remain a major importer of vegetable oils.
