As specified, the increasing level of grain consumption in the country is expected due to increasing demand from the processing industry – up to 654 thousand tonnes, which is 84 thousand tonnes more than the November forecasts of the Ministry.

Also in the UK, the projected increase in the production of ethanol from corn, which would reduce the share of usage as raw material of feed wheat. In view of this, the experts of the Ministry has lowered the forecast of wheat consumption in the country this season by 500 thousand tons to 7.6 million tons, compared with the assessment in November (8.1 million tons).
