Corn global production forecast raised
Experts of the International grain council raises estimates of corn production in the world.
IGC raised the forecast of corn world production in 2013/14 MY to 945,4 million t that exceeds
by 3 million t the previous estimates of experts. For comparison: last season 860,3
million t of corn were collected in the world.
The European Union expects insignificant decrease in harvest - 65,7 million t against the
previous estimates at 66 million t is. However this recession compensates
growth of harvesting in Argentina: 25 million t against previously estimated 23
million t.
The forecast for the USA remained without changes - 350 million t. The corn harvest
forecast remained unchanged for Brazil - 72 million t, Ukraine - 24 million t
and the South African Republic - 13 million t.
