Ex-deputy Agriculture Minister arrested in absentia
According to unofficial sources, Alexey Bazhanov is in Switzerland.
- Ex-deputy minister of agriculture Alexey Bazhanov was arrested in absentia according to decision of the Tverskoy court of Moscow.
- In January of the Interior Ministry of Russia began investigation of a new criminal case on 1,15 billion rubles credit frauds in Masloprodukt holding, established by Alexey Bazhanov. Proceedings were initiated according to the statement of Rosselkhozbank representatives on " large scale fraud in the crediting sphere".
- Bazhanov ceased to visit interrogations according to sunpoenas and was put in the international wanted list. According to the investigation, Bazhanov left Moscow for Switzerland .
- As a result the judge satisfied a petition of the Interior Ministry on Alexey Bazhanov's arrest in absentia.
