Yakutia to overhaul breeding farms
The authorities of Yakutia are concerned with condition of republican breeding centers.

- Only 23 out of 87 breeding centers of Yakutia, functioning at present time, have Russian certificates of breeding centers. In this regard in 2014 the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has set a target to re-registrate breeding centers for obtaining the corresponding certificates and introduction of information and analytical system elite animals accounting.
- Infection diseases such as brucellosis of deer, leptospirosis in horses and cattle leukosis became the main reason for reduction of quantity of breeding centers.
- The Ministry of Agriculture of Yakutia notes low level of breeding animals percentage to the total number of domestic animals: 6,6% - in cattle, 7,7% - in horses.
