As said by the head of the Lithuanian centre of agricultural and forest Sciences Zenonas Dabkevicius, Lithuanian feed manufacturers in the near time will have to find new markets for their products. The reason of arising difficulties of manufacturers of feed, Dabkevicius called African swine fever (ASF), with which Lithuania is struggling with the beginning of the year.

Nevertheless panic because of this situation, according to him, it is too early: Grain is such a product which can be a little longer hold, and already to look for markets. Maybe too much impact on prices will not be, as the grain markets are global, and in Lithuania after the demand reduction rates may also fall. In Russia it will be difficult to export our food and our products, so you need to look for other markets, it is not easy to export to Western Europe. Third countries may be markets of Asia, Africa and even South America."

"Perhaps panic still not worth it. First of all, it is a misfortune happened on the same farm. May be, this misery will be avoided in other places, and this sector will continue gradually restored. On the market of feed do not want to raise panic, but to monitor the situation", - said Dabkevicius. According to him, the heavy losses can not be borne by those who grow grain, and those who produce food, because they will be more difficult to sell their products. According to the expert, export grain in Western Europe, can be difficult, because in this region is a large grain harvest.
