In Buryatia increasing food production. For 11 months of the current year the production of dairy products compared with last year increased 1.5 times, canned meat - 2.8 times, meat and offal - three times, reported Tuesday in the Republican Ministry of agriculture and food.

"At the level of last year survived the volume of production of bread and bakery products, fish products, meat semi-finished products and meat products and egg", - the Ministry added.

According to official data, the value of the shipped food products for incomplete 2014 amounted to about 7 billion rubles. The figure exceeded the previous year's results for billion rubles.

This was mainly due to positive changes in the sphere of production and processing of meat. The production of meat products in the Republic has increased due to the commissioning of the meat-processing complex "buratmasoprom" and East-Siberian pig in Zaigraevskom area. A positive trend has also provided measures for the introduction of high-tech equipment at the enterprise "Milk of Buryatia". The cost of the project for modernization of the plant amounted to approximately 390 million.

Food and processing industry of Buryatia includes 11 branches associated with the processing of agricultural raw materials and food production. The weight of the meat industry in the total volume of implemented products is 52%, dairy - 9%, pasta - 1%, flour-and-cereals - 1%, baking - 12%, confectionery - 6%, liquor and beer - 5%, fruit and vegetables - 1%, fat -1% and fish - 9%.

At the enterprises of food and processing industry of the Republic are almost 4 thousand people. The industry accounts for 6% of tax revenues in the Republican budget, annual tax deductions are more than 1.1 billion.
