According to the statistics Committee of the Ministry of national economy of Kazakhstan, in December 2014, compared with December 2013 food prices in the country increased by 8%.

So, in December 2014, compared with the corresponding month of 2013, prices of cereals rose by 19.4%, sugar - by 17.6%, flour - by 16%, dairy products, fruits and vegetables - 11,1%, bakery and pastry products - by 8.8%, confectionery products - by 8.3%, bread - by 7.6%, pasta - by 7%, oils and fats - by 2.3%.

The increase in prices for meat and meat products for a specified period amounted to 4.6%, poultry meat - by 16.7%, sausage products - 11,7%, pork - by 6.2%, horse meat - 1.8%, mutton, in turn, prices fell by 0.7%.
