More than 800 farms will help residents of Penza technique planting potatoes, the official portal of the regional government.

In the area defined 835 peasant (farmer) farms, legal and physical persons who have tractors and equipment necessary to provide services for the production of potatoes and vegetables.

According to the Minister of agriculture of the Penza region Andrey Burlakov, rural councils were held meetings with the population and entrepreneurs, determined acreage of potatoes and vegetables and the necessary volume of purchase of seeds for 2015.

The Governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev said that residents need to teach gardening, this is to attract scientists to provide seeds.

"People need to feed themselves, dress. Now it is important to motivate people so that they themselves began to grow vegetables", - said Vasily Bochkarev.

On the basis of submitted by residents of the cities of applications acreage under potatoes is planned to increase to the level of the previous year by 30%, vegetables - by 3.2 times.

The initiator of the project for granting land plots for planting vegetables was Vasily Bochkarev. It is assumed that the stations will be located near roads and near water bodies.

In the Penza region acreage in private farms is estimated at 35,3 thousand hectares, from them collect up to 85% of the potato crop in the region.
