Rospatent has registered appellation of origin of goods "Altai honey", according to the Department of the Altai territory in food processing, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology.

The exclusive right to use received agricultural cooperative "Altai honey land", which brings together beekeepers several areas of the region. This became possible after the Altai state University was registered in Rospatent library of infrared spectra of honey of different geographical origin. It formed the basis of evidence about the original and unique Altai properties of the product.

The decision on registration of the appellation of origin contains information that "within the borders of Altai Krai produce honey, special properties of which are exclusively or mainly determined characteristic of the region's natural conditions".

According to experts, Altai honey has no equal in content of high-value natural ingredients, it is the most complex composition, it includes numerous types of pollen grains of medicinal plants-endemics growing in the region.

Now beekeepers of the region will be able to fight against counterfeit goods entering the Russian market.
