According to preliminary data because of the drought in may - June of this year in territory of the Saratov region has killed crops on the area of 585 hectares. Affected more than 500 agricultural producers, the damage from destruction of crops is currently estimated at over $ 5.7 billion rubles, the damage in terms of direct costs - more than 2.4 billion rubles.

Today, July 29, deputies of the regional Duma adopted an appeal to the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev on the issue of granting the Saratov region financial assistance for damages caused to the farmers. The reason was the difficult situation caused by the drought. The emergency mode is set to 31 municipal district, the Commission conducted a survey of crops, preparation of documents for the expert assessment of the damage.

In his address to the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation, in particular, reads: "Given the difficult situation in the farms of the Saratov region on formation of a crop of 2015, the preparation of the crop of 2016, in order to preserve livestock and productivity of farm animals deputies of the Saratov regional Duma asking You to consider providing the Saratov region financial assistance for damages caused to the agricultural producers as a result of the emergency, and to assist in resolving the issue of deferred payments under the lease payments and the credit agreements for one or two years".
