The government of Sverdlovsk region adopted a resolution on measures for the procurement of agricultural crop and wild products (fruits and vegetables are grown at the farm, as well as mushrooms, berries, cones) in the population up to 2020.

The document intends to help the regional authorities to small and medium businesses in equipping vegetable storage facilities and the purchase of related equipment. Entrepreneurs, in turn, will buy up a surplus of vegetables and wild plants, transfer them in large logistics centers, where products go to stores and recycled.

According to the government of the region, in the region of the wild plants are processed by two large enterprises — in Bogdanovich and Karpinsk. In December 2015 there will begin work the company "Berry of the Urals" in Yekaterinburg.

As reported DK.RU the question about the import of frozen berries was announced by the regional Prime Minister at a meeting with large producers.

"Why in our dairy products frozen berries 100% foreign production? This is absurd. In our region it grows in nature and cultivated as many berries as we buy them frozen abroad?" asked Denis Pasler.

According to the Sverdlovsk Minister of agriculture and food Mikhail Kopytova, in the region, only two companies involved in the collection and freezing of berries. But their technical equipment is in need of modernization. Because of this, the Sverdlovsk berries are not used as additives in dairy products.

However, Sverdlovsk berries and mushrooms are widely used in other industries. For example, they buy private bakeries and restaurants. Among the regular customers – a network of Pirogov "Stolle" and the restaurant "the Mansion", the owner is Elena Makusheva. According to her, this autumn-winter season practically Sverdlovsk region were left without their berries.

"I've been working with two specific suppliers. But at the end of 2014 without warning they raised the price by almost 30%. We bought them a kilo of cranberries for 160 rubles per kg, and now for 220 RUB. my question is, why so much increased the prices of wild plants (it is not imported products and the penalties nothing to do with), suppliers said that the fall of about 60-70% of the blanks was bought by businessmen from Moscow", — told DK.RU Elena Makusheva.

According to the restaurateur, this case is another reason to think about systematizing the work of the food enterprises of Ekaterinburg with suppliers of agricultural products.
