This year in Kamyzyaksky district of the Astrakhan region has grown more than three tons of blue crabs. They were exported to Moscow, Volgograd, Simferopol and other cities.

We are completing a new plant with area of 1 ha. next year it is planned to grow on the farm about 30 tons of blue crabs. First crawfish farmer brought four years ago from Australia. The area of the ponds where the crawfish are from may to August, is 40 ha. In the rest of the time they are held in a specially equipped workshop, where the water temperature is 27 degrees.

The reason is the large demand blue crabs is their unusual color. Farmers appreciate that these animals rapidly gain weight, according to the Ministry of agriculture and fisheries of the Astrakhan region.
