In the 2015/16 season Ukraine produced about 11.3-11.5 mln tonnes of sunflower, from which, according to the forecasts of UkrAgroConsult, will be not less than 4.6 mln tonnes of sunflower meal. This figure will be even higher than the record 2013/14 season.

Thus, according to experts, is expected to reduce domestic consumption to a minimum with the 2011/12 season due to the stagnation of the livestock sector and the substitution of sunflower meal cheaper forage crops (corn, feed wheat).

Accordingly, the export potential will reach an unprecedented high level of 3.7 million tons, and there may be 3.8 million tons – and in this situation could begin to worry about search of new markets.... But not Ukraine and not for the 2015/16 season.
