Ethiopia is not among the largest buyers of Ukrainian grain, but belongs to the region of sub-Saharan Africa, considered to be the most promising after the Asian region for Ukraine.

For the first 4 months of the current season in Ethiopia was shipped at least 45 thousand tons of wheat is already approaching the total for the whole past season 2014/15, when deliveries amounted to 50 thousand tons.

Higher shipments, primarily due to the shortage of the crop in the country due to adverse weather conditions.

In the current season the supply of wheat will be particularly relevant given the fact that as a result of El niño, the country has lost more than half of the harvest.
