Industrial complex "Breeding center aquaculture" in the Kaluga region production started in the cultivation of young sturgeon, whitefish and salmon. All fry in the quality of planting material will be transported to fish farms in Russia. This was reported today by the press service of the Agency for the development of agribusiness in Kaluga region.

The company has already grown the first batch of 400 thousand baby trout linkage to 10 grams. Preparing the supply of fry in large industrial complexes of North-West Federal district.

Last year the company invested in modernization of equipment of 40 million roubles. In 2016 it is planned to upgrade the plant incubation with investments of about 25 million, the report said.

"For the development of the fishery complex of Russia today it is necessary to eliminate the technological gap in the industry. In Kaluga region there are all conditions for development of high-tech breeding plants - available from infrastructure to advanced logistics", - commented first Deputy Governor of Kaluga Alexey Laptev.

This year for growing on fry, the company has imported 8 million eggs.

"Eggs for incubation, while purchased abroad, but in the short term provides for the use of own breeding stock. In the next year and a half annual cycle of incubation of eggs is expected to reach 16 million units", - said Laptev.

The leadership of the region should also aim to attract manufacturers of feeds for fish production. It was the foreign origin of the feed material today, manufacturers are suffering losses, said the Deputy Governor.

In addition to the "Breeding center aquaculture" in the Kaluga fish farming cluster is one of the agriculture in industrial trout cultivation "Kaluga trout". In 2014, the company sold 20 tons of fish, and in 2015 to 60. Starting in 2016, with a designed capacity, the farm plans annually to supply the market with at least 100 tons of rainbow trout. Also in the field since 2014 complex for industrial production of rainbow trout and salmon indoors – "f-trout".

Investment in the first phase of the project with a planned capacity of 500 tons of fish per year amounted to 383 million rubles. Over three quarters of 2015 was grown and sold 376,2 tons of trout. Currently, the company built a second line for production of salmonids. Compared to trout workshop, is designed to produce 500 tons of fish per year, the production capacity of new plant will amount to 4 thousand tons of salmon per year.
