In the second half of 2016, the experts of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) can inspect Swiss companies who want to export their products to Russia.

This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor following the talks, the head of Department Sergey Dankvert with the Advisor, the head of the Department of Economics, Finance and science, Embassy of the Swiss conference in Russia Julien Shade held in Moscow on the initiative of the Swiss side.

"During the dialogue the possibility of the inspection of Swiss companies wishing to export their products to Russia, experts of the EEU in the second half of 2016", — stated in the message Department.

The Inspectorate will make the decision on possibility of granting of the right supplies. And Switzerland can increase exports of its products in terms of the response of the Russian Federation in respect of countries that have imposed sanctions against Russia, said the Rosselkhoznadzor. First and foremost, the increase in supply will affect milk products, including cheese, and fruit. Dankvert said that over the past time, the Rosselkhoznadzor has carried out two inspections of Swiss enterprises, which gave most of them the right to supply its products to Russia. In addition, 75% of all companies that have received the right to export to Russia, were included in the corresponding list under the guarantees of the state veterinary service of Switzerland.

The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor also said about the readiness to consider in more detail the issues under discussion at the General session of the International epizootic Bureau (OIE) in Paris. The parties expressed the intention to establish a working group on the basis of the veterinary services of the two countries to increase the dynamics of the discussion of current issues. Switzerland refused to join the sectoral sanctions that the US and the EU imposed against Russia in 2014 because of the situation in Ukraine, although Bern and imposed restrictions, which prevent the circumvention of sanctions through Swiss territory.
